Captain Jack Sparrow, Captain Hook or Long John Silver are some famous pirate characters. Captain Jack Sparrow, the most famous Pirate of the seven seas, and the man that most men wish they could be.
Portrayed by Johnny Depp in all of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jack Sparrow inspires the average person to dress up in fancy dress, his mischievous and free-spirited nature, and his ever enchanting charms.
Captain Thomas Anstis is another famous pirate. In 1718 Anstis started his pirate career in the very famous company; he shipped out of Providence in the Sloop Buck and was one of six that conspired to use that ship in the trade of piracy.
The others being Howel Davis, Dennis Topping, Walter Kennedy, and two unnamed others. Upon the death of Davis, Anstis served under Bartholomew Roberts until April 18th, 1721, when he parted ways with the arch-pirate and sailed to the West Indies in the brigantine Good Fortune.

Some other famous pirates include Captain William Kidd or Billy the Kidd as he would later be called when he started robbing banks out West. Red Beard was another famous pirate who’s real name was Barbarossa or Vinny to his friends.
Captain James Bartholomew Hook is the main antagonist of Peter Pan, its sequel, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, and its upcoming film.

Blackbeard was formerly known as Edward Teach and liked to teach the other ship’s captains and crews a lesson in seamanship. Captain Lawrence Prince was anything but a prince when he was on the open waters.

And, then there was Anne Bonny who was one of the few women pirates down through history and was taking her revenge out on all men who had wronged her in the past including one episode that happened in adolescence involving a strange “goat kissing” incident.
Captain Jack Sparrows is well-equipped to fight his enemies, one of them is Davy Jones, the supernatural leader of the Flying Dutchman, Which is a ghost ship that trawls the seven seas.
Captain Jack Sparrow is a truly distinctive classic pirates costume, so recognizable that the art directors for all three Pirates of the Caribbean films refused to make any major changes.
